Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, is set to address the United Kingdom’s House of Lords next week after being named recipient of the African Inspirational Leadership and Good Governance Award by the African Leadership Organisation (ALO), publishers of African Leadership Magazine.
The award ceremony will hold from July 2 to 3, 2026, in Westminster, London, where Governor Uzodimma will deliver a keynote address titled “From Vision to Velocity: Driving Africa’s Next Wave of Growth and Leadership – The Imo State Experience.”
According to the organisers, the governor was selected in recognition of his Shared Prosperity Agenda, which they said has driven infrastructure development, improved public service delivery, expanded opportunities for youths and women, and promoted socio-economic growth in Imo State.
The organisers also highlighted key achievements of the administration, including the construction and rehabilitation of over 130 strategic roads and the training of more than 65,000 youths in digital skills through the Imo Digital City initiative.
The award places Uzodimma among notable African leaders previously recognised by the African Leadership Organisation for contributions to governance and development.
