APGA chieftain and Founder of the Ide Global Movement (IGM), Chief Dr. Azubuike Augustine Ekweozor, has accepted the outcome of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) primary election, reaffirming his loyalty to Governor Chukwuma Soludo and calling for unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued after a strategic meeting of APGA leaders convened by Governor Soludo, Ekweozor described the gathering as a timely initiative to strengthen party unity, reconciliation, discipline and collective responsibility following the primaries.

He commended Governor Soludo’s leadership, describing it as visionary and purposeful, and praised the governor’s commitment to consolidating APGA’s achievements while positioning the party for greater electoral success.

According to Ekweozor, although party primaries naturally produce both winners and those who do not emerge victorious, the collective interest of APGA must always take precedence over individual ambitions.

“I have accepted the outcome of the party’s primary election in good faith and with absolute respect for the supremacy of our great party. I have deliberately placed the collective interest of APGA above every personal consideration,” he stated.

The APGA stalwart reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to Governor Soludo, the State Working Committee and the leadership of the party, pledging to continue working for APGA’s unity, growth and electoral success.

He also congratulated the party’s candidate for the Awka North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Obby Nwankwo, assuring him of his full support and commitment to securing victory for APGA in the 2027 elections.

Ekweozor urged members of the Ide Global Movement (IGM), his supporters and party faithful to put the primary contest behind them and embrace reconciliation, grassroots mobilisation and unity.

“The period of internal contests is over. This is the time for reconciliation, grassroots mobilisation, unity and victory,” he said.

He further called on party members to strengthen APGA’s structures across communities and expand the party’s support base, expressing confidence that loyalty, patience and commitment to the party’s ideals would continue to yield positive results under Governor Soludo’s leadership.

Ekweozor maintained that sustained unity within APGA would enhance the party’s chances of recording another electoral victory while advancing Anambra State’s development agenda.
