The 2027 political contest in Anambra State is gathering momentum as the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) House of Representatives candidate for the Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha Federal Constituency, Chief Chukwudi Oli, has received a major political boost following endorsements from members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), and other political groups.

The endorsement was announced during a consultative meeting held in Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area, where members of the coalition pledged their support for Oli’s bid to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives.

Among those present at the meeting were the Director-General of the APGA campaign organisation and former Chairman of Njikoka Local Government Area, Hon. George Ozor; the APGA candidate, Chief Chukwudi Oli; APGA Chairman in Njikoka LGA, Chief Onyenechi Ezeaso; retired Air Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi; Chief Chibuzo Oli, Chief Ogochukwu Egolum, and other party stakeholders.

Speaking on behalf of the coalition, its leader, Ozo Ejiamatu, said members from different political parties resolved to support Oli based on his commitment to community development and his perceived capacity to deliver effective representation.

According to him, although members of the group belong to different political platforms, they chose to set aside partisan interests in favour of what they described as the collective interest of the Dunukofia, Njikoka, and Anaocha Federal Constituency.

The coalition also stated that its decision was driven by a desire to promote quality representation and prevent what it described as a repeat of ineffective leadership in the constituency.

However, the group clarified that its endorsement was strictly for Chief Chukwudi Oli and should not be interpreted as a blanket endorsement of APGA or its other candidates in the 2027 elections.

Responding, Chief Oli expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him, promising to provide transparent, accountable, and people-centred representation if elected.

He pledged to place the welfare of constituents above personal interests and said he would draw inspiration from renowned businessman and philanthropist, Prince Arthur Eze, in pursuing projects and opportunities that would drive development across the constituency.

Also speaking, the Director-General of the campaign organisation, Hon. George Ozor, and the APGA Chairman in Njikoka Local Government Area, Chief Onyenechi Ezeaso, described the endorsement as a significant morale booster, expressing confidence that the growing cross-party support would strengthen Oli’s campaign ahead of what is expected to be one of Anambra’s most closely contested House of Representatives elections.

As political alignments continue to evolve ahead of the 2027 general elections, the endorsement underscores the growing significance of coalition-building and issue-based support in shaping the electoral landscape in Anambra State.
