The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the judiciary with the presentation of 10 brand-new Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to judges serving in the state.
The vehicles were presented on behalf of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo at a ceremony held at the Light House, Awka, by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake.
Speaking during the presentation, Mrs. Nnake described the gesture as a strategic investment aimed at improving the welfare and operational efficiency of judicial officers, noting that a well-equipped judiciary is essential for the effective and timely administration of justice.
She said the initiative reflects the Soludo administration’s commitment to building strong institutions and ensuring that every arm of government is adequately supported to deliver quality service to the people.
According to her, the state government remains committed to advancing the Solution Agenda by promoting good governance, strengthening the rule of law and providing the necessary resources to enable the judiciary to function effectively.
Mrs. Nnake added that the Soludo administration would continue to invest in programmes and infrastructure that enhance access to justice while fostering an efficient, transparent and independent judicial system.
The presentation of the vehicles forms part of the state’s broader efforts to improve institutional capacity and support public institutions in line with Governor Soludo’s vision of building a secure, prosperous and liveable smart megacity.
The beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the state government for the intervention, describing it as a morale booster that would enhance their mobility and efficiency in the discharge of their judicial responsibilities.
