The controversy surrounding the alleged PFIPC forgery and impersonation case took a fresh twist on Monday as police operatives reportedly arrested the father of Prince Adeyemi Adeniyi in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
According to residents, the operation was carried out at the family’s residence, where officers arrived in multiple vehicles before taking Adeyemi’s father into custody alongside another man said to have been visiting the home at the time.
Witnesses said the arrest attracted the attention of residents and sparked tension within the neighbourhood, particularly among members of the suspect’s family.
A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, claimed the officers swiftly secured the premises before leaving with the two men.
The source further alleged that security personnel remained around the area for some time after the operation.
Prince Adeyemi Adeniyi is currently facing criminal charges bordering on alleged forgery, impersonation and other related offences connected to claims involving the purported Presidential Fiscal and Infrastructure Projects Council (PFIPC).
The matter is presently before the court.
