Finalists of the 2026 Aguata Best Student Challenge have visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial as part of an educational tour aimed at promoting leadership, peacebuilding and global exposure.

Led by the Mayor of Aguata Local Government Area, Chibueze Ofobuike, the students also participated in intensive learning sessions facilitated by Coderina Edutech, focusing on STEAM education, robotics and technology entrepreneurship.

During the visit, the students learned about the 1994 Rwandan Genocide and the importance of reconciliation, tolerance and peaceful coexistence through education.

Dr. Ofobuike described the initiative as part of efforts to raise globally minded young leaders, expressing confidence that the international exposure would inspire the students to become positive change-makers in their communities and beyond.
