The Better Health for Rural Women, Children and Internally Displaced Persons Foundation (BERWO), founded by Ebonyi State First Lady, Uzoamaka Nwifuru, has enrolled 200 sickle cell patients into the Ebonyi State Health Insurance Agency to improve access to quality healthcare.
Speaking during the enrolment ceremony in Abakaliki, Mrs. Nwifuru said the initiative is aimed at easing the financial burden of medical care on people living with sickle cell disorder and ensuring they receive timely and affordable healthcare services.
She reaffirmed BERWO’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups through strategic partnerships and urged beneficiaries to attend regular medical check-ups, adhere to prescribed treatments and adopt healthy lifestyles.
Officials of the Ebonyi State Health Insurance Agency commended the foundation for its continued partnership in expanding health insurance coverage and encouraged beneficiaries to follow registration guidelines to ensure seamless access to healthcare services.
