The Anambra State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with security stakeholders following a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Nigeria Forest Security Service (NFSS), Anambra State Command, to the Command Headquarters in Awka.
In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the visit forms part of the Command’s ongoing efforts to promote an all-inclusive security strategy aimed at enhancing public safety and tackling crime across the state.
Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Ibrahim Ezekiel, welcomed the team and reiterated the Command’s commitment to proactive policing through strategic partnerships.
He urged the Nigeria Forest Security Service to continue supporting security operations by providing credible and timely intelligence to aid crime prevention, detection and the fight against criminal activities.
Leader of the delegation, Mazi Destiny Jonas, commended the Anambra State Police Command for its proactive approach to security and appreciated the warm reception accorded his team.
He assured the Command of the Nigeria Forest Security Service’s readiness to work closely with the Police and other security agencies in promoting peace, safety and security across Anambra State.
Both organisations concluded the meeting with a renewed commitment to deepen inter-agency cooperation, improve operational coordination and strengthen stakeholder engagement in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police to ensure a safer and more secure Nigeria.
