• VAR will be able to intervene on a second yellow card situation, an identity error on a red card.

• VAR will be able to overturn a wrongly awarded corner.

• A substituted player must leave the field in a maximum of 10 seconds, otherwise their substitute will have wait a minute before entering.

• Players receiving treatment will generally have to stay out for a minute before returning.

• A goalkeeper causing a stoppage to receive treatment, without having been injured as a result of a sanctioned foul, will lead to one player from their team being sidelined for 1 minute.

• Throw-ins will be more strictly controlled with a 5-second countdown.

• A penalty with an accidental double contact is considered saved or missed if it is missed.

• The referee will be able to announce and explain their final decision, after VAR intervention, to the general public.
