In a renewed demonstration of his unwavering commitment to grassroots development and the delivery of democratic dividends, the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, on Monday, August 3, 2026, commissioned several completed constituency projects in Ini Local Government Area.

Senator Akpabio reaffirmed his resolve to improve the living standards of the people through impactful infrastructure and community-focused interventions.

Represented by his wife, Dr. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, the Senate President said the projects underscore his commitment to grassroots development and improving the living standards of the people through impactful constituency interventions.

He equally appreciated the people of Ini Local Government Area for their unwavering support and cooperation, assuring them of his continued commitment to delivering more democratic dividends.

The projects commissioned included the Itie Ikpe Community Primary School, Itie Ikpe Market, Modern Town Hall in Nna-Enin Ikpe and the provision of pipe-borne water at the Police Station, Ini, among other strategic interventions designed to promote education, commerce, and access to potable water.

Welcoming the entourage, the Chairman of Ini Local Government Area, Hon. Inibehe Umah, described the commissioning as another testament to Senator Akpabio’s unwavering commitment to the development of the area.

He commended the Senate President for consistently attracting constituency projects to Ini Local Government Area, noting that the interventions would enhance education, stimulate economic activities, improve access to essential social amenities, and uplift the living standards of the people.

Hon. Umah further declared that in the 2027 general elections, the people of Ini would overwhelmingly support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, return Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio unopposed to the Senate, and vote massively for Pastor Umo Eno, alongside all APC candidates, in appreciation of the dividends of democracy.
