The Anambra State Government has welcomed the establishment of a new private hospital in Awka, describing it as a significant boost to healthcare delivery and private-sector investment in the state.
Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, who represented Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, commissioned the newly built Graceland International Hospital in Awka.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Ibezim expressed satisfaction with the growing interest of private investors in Anambra, noting that the establishment of the facility would contribute to expanding access to quality healthcare for residents.
He described Graceland International Hospital as a welcome addition to the state’s healthcare sector and commended its proprietor, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ofojebe, for investing in the development of the state.
The Deputy Governor said sustainable development could not be achieved by government alone, stressing the need for stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors.
He therefore encouraged more investors to explore opportunities in Anambra and contribute to the state’s economic and social development.
Ibezim assured investors of the state government’s continued commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
The commissioning of Graceland International Hospital marks another addition to private healthcare infrastructure in Awka and is expected to further broaden healthcare options available to residents of the state.
