The Wife of the Abia State Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, has charged women to rise into positions of influence and authority, urging them to lead with character, courage, wisdom and responsibility.
Mrs. Otti gave the charge on Sunday while serving as Special Guest of Honour at the 2026 Exceptional Queens Convention of Power World Ministries International in Abia State.
The conference, themed “Emergence of Queens: Stepping Into Influence and Authority,” brought together women from different backgrounds for a celebration of faith, purpose, leadership and empowerment.
Represented at the event by Mrs. Eucharia Nmeregini, wife of the Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Mrs. Otti congratulated the church on the successful programme and described the theme as timely and significant.

She noted that being a queen goes beyond occupying a position or wearing a crown, stressing that true influence is built on character and the ability to positively impact society.
«“A queen is not merely defined by a crown. A queen is defined by character, courage, wisdom, responsibility and the capacity to influence her world for good.”»
The First Lady further distinguished between occupying a position of authority and becoming a woman of genuine influence, noting that while authority may open doors, character determines how effectively a person uses the opportunity.
Drawing lessons from biblical figures such as Esther and Deborah, Mrs. Otti urged women to use their voices wisely, embrace responsibility and transform the spaces they occupy.
She said women should not wait for permission to fulfil their God-given potential, but should lead with wisdom, serve with excellence and speak with courage.

According to her, the true measure of a woman’s emergence should not only be how high she rises but also the number of lives positively affected by her influence.
“Our emergence must not be measured only by how high we rise, but by how many lives become better because we rose,” she said.
Mrs. Otti also prayed that the conference would awaken dormant gifts, strengthen participants’ faith and inspire women to take their rightful place in the family, church and society.
Earlier, the Co-Senior Pastor of Power World Ministries International and Supervisor of the Exceptional Queens, Dr. Mrs. Chioma Uwandu Ume, said the time had come for women to emerge and fulfil their destinies.
Dr. Ume emphasised the importance of preparation, noting that women must equip themselves for the challenges that may accompany their calling and aspirations.
“You can’t emerge without being prepared. God didn’t promise us a trouble-free life, but when the storm comes, you prepare for it,” she said.
She added that while God may reveal a person’s destination, the process required to reach it may not always be revealed.
In her welcome address, the Head of Department of the Exceptional Queens, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Nzewi Onyeulo, welcomed participants and distinguished guests while expressing appreciation for their support and participation.
The programme also featured a praise session by gospel artiste Chinwe Bliss, who entertained participants with a lively musical performance.
The week-long 2026 Exceptional Queens programme featured activities focused on women’s spiritual growth, leadership development, confidence, fellowship and positive influence in the family, church and wider society.
