Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has visited the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in Abuja, days after securing re-election for a second term.
Adeleke met with Wike on Thursday as he continued consultations and engagements with prominent political figures following his victory in the August 15 Osun State governorship election.
During the meeting, both men were pictured holding Adeleke’s Certificate of Return. The photograph was shared on X by Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, who wrote: “Governor Ademola Adeleke visits the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.”
The visit came shortly after Adeleke met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he presented his Certificate of Return to the President.
The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Adeleke the winner of the election after he polled 511,067 votes to defeat the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who secured 444,815 votes.
Adeleke won in 19 of the 30 local government areas in the state, securing another four-year term as governor of Osun State.
