The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has landed a major commercial boost after securing a $7.5 million title sponsorship agreement with Euromatch, covering the next three years.
The partnership, valued at $2.5 million per year, was officially unveiled in Abuja on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, ending a prolonged period in which the NPFL operated without a conventional title sponsor.
A key part of the agreement will see 60% of the sponsorship revenue allocated to the participating clubs, giving teams a significant financial injection as they prepare for the seasons ahead.
The deal is being viewed as a significant milestone in the commercial development of Nigerian football, with the league expected to benefit from increased financial stability and greater opportunities for its clubs.
The Euromatch agreement could also mark the beginning of a new era for the NPFL, as stakeholders continue efforts to raise the league’s profile, strengthen its clubs and improve the overall football ecosystem in Nigeria.
