The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Emmanuel Nwachukwu, has thrown his weight behind Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s development agenda, calling for stronger institutions and durable infrastructure to sustain the state’s growth.
Nwachukwu made the call in a goodwill message to the people of Anambra State to mark the 35th anniversary of the state’s creation, which was made available to journalists in Abuja.
The senator described Anambra as a state built on resilience, enterprise, innovation and excellence, noting that its people had continued to make significant contributions to Nigeria’s development and beyond.
He said the state’s achievements over the past 35 years should not only be celebrated but also serve as an opportunity to reflect on the kind of society the present generation intends to leave for the future.
Nwachukwu commended Governor Soludo for what he described as purposeful and development-oriented leadership, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, human capital development and economic growth.
According to him, the administration’s policies and projects are contributing to the vision of building a more liveable and prosperous Anambra.
The senator, however, stressed that sustaining the state’s development would require continued investment in strong institutions, human capital and infrastructure capable of serving both present and future generations.
He urged stakeholders and Anambra residents at home and abroad to support initiatives that would consolidate the gains recorded by the state and strengthen its foundation for sustainable development.
Nwachukwu also reaffirmed his commitment as the representative of Anambra South in the Senate to supporting policies and programmes that would improve the welfare of his constituents and contribute to the overall development of the state.
He called for greater unity and collective responsibility among Anambra people, stressing that the state’s future depended on the ability of its citizens to work together toward common development goals.
“Our 35th anniversary is a reminder that our best days are not behind us; they are ahead of us,” Nwachukwu said.
He congratulated the people of Anambra State on the anniversary and urged them to remain committed to unity, progress and sustainable development.
