The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, has visited the family of late Isaac Nwosu, popularly known as “Aiza,” who was killed in a recent shooting incident in Awka.
The CP made the condolence visit on Monday, August 31, 2026, shortly after a strategic meeting with senior operational and investigative officers of the Command.
The meeting focused on reassessing intelligence and information received from members of the public, particularly within Awka, as part of efforts to strengthen security operations and tackle violent crime in the state.
During the condolence visit, CP Oji Ama described the late Nwosu as an asset to Anambra State, noting that his death was a loss to his family and the wider community.
The Commissioner acknowledged Nwosu’s contributions to the Command’s security advocacy efforts and other community-related activities, saying his services would be missed.
CP Oji Ama directed relevant operational and investigative units to intensify efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible for the killing.
He reassured the bereaved family and residents of Anambra State that the Police Command would pursue the investigation with determination until the perpetrators are brought to justice.
The Commissioner also urged Ndi Anambra to continue cooperating with the Police by providing credible information that could assist ongoing investigations.
He called on residents to maintain confidence in the investigative process and support security agencies in the collective effort to prevent further violent incidents across the state.
