Troops of Sector 6, Operation ENDURING PEACE, OPEP, have arrested three Fulani men in Plateau State following the death of a farmer in Riyom Local Government Area.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the arrests were made on September 13, 2026, during a raid on Baggat and Shong 2 Fulani hamlets in Bachi community, Riyom LGA.
The operation followed a manhunt for those responsible for the death of a farmer in Fang community on September 12.
The three men were identified as Anas Usman, Nuhu Mohammad and Haruna Ahmed.
The three suspects are not necessarily the perpetrators of the killing, but their arrest is part of efforts to mount pressure on local Fulani leaders to assist security agencies in identifying and producing those responsible,” Makama said.
The suspects remain in custody for further investigation and intelligence gathering.
