The Abia State Police Command has uncovered a suspected criminal hideout allegedly used for keeping stolen vehicles in the Isuochi area of the state.
The command said its operatives recovered two vehicles from the location following actionable intelligence.
The recovered vehicles were identified as a white Dodge with registration number Lagos APP-909KF and a red Toyota Camry with registration number ENU-43AZ.
The spokesperson for the Abia State Police Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka, disclosed the development in a statement on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
According to Chinaka, the discovery was made by operatives of the Isuochi Divisional Police Headquarters, acting on credible intelligence and in line with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Wilfred Afolabi.
The police spokesperson said efforts were ongoing to identify and apprehend members of the alleged syndicate linked to the hideout.
The command further assured residents that investigations would continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the recovered vehicles and bring anyone found responsible before the law.
The police urged members of the public with useful information about the suspected criminal network to assist the authorities in their investigation.
