NPFL clubs have received their respective shares from the first tranche of the league’s title sponsorship agreement with Euromatch.
The NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Ayo Hammed Abdulrahman, disclosed this while speaking with SportsPro News in Ilorin on Thursday.
Abdulrahman also corrected earlier reports concerning the financial value of the partnership, explaining that the agreement is a $7.5 million deal spread across three years, amounting to $2.5 million per year.
He noted that the clubs are paid their agreed share from every tranche received by the league.
“The tranches that have been received, the percentage due to the clubs has been paid,” he said.
The NPFL COO’s comments also put to rest reports that had placed the total value of the sponsorship at $1 million.
