Former Super Eagles captain, Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha has shared his thoughts on this year’s Ballon d’Or award.
Voting closed 10 days ago, but there is still no clear favourite for the prize.
In an interview published by The Sunday Newspaper, Okocha claimed that at least six players deserve to win the award.
However, Okocha picked Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé as his favourite.
The suspense is more exciting than ever,” Okocha said.
There are a good half dozen contenders: Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappé, Lamine Yamal and the PSG players.
“I think Mbappé would deserve it for having been the top scorer in the World Cup, the Champions League and the Spanish Championship.”
