A prosecution witness has told the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, how he allegedly paid ₦69.15 million to social media personality Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, for a five year lease of a property she allegedly did not own.

The witness, Dr Onuoha Okeiqwe, gave his testimony before Justice R. A. Oshodi on October 12, 2026, in the ongoing case involving allegations of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing.

According to the witness, the property in question is located at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki, Lagos, and was leased for use by Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited.

Okeiqwe told the court that he contacted Blessing CEO after concerns emerged about the ownership of the property. He alleged that she maintained she was the rightful owner and sent him photographs of the building via WhatsApp to support her claim.

The witness further testified that a man identified as Mr Tom later arrived at the property with police officers and allegedly arrested some of his workers.

He said he subsequently paid ₦100,000 to secure their bail.

Beyond the ₦69.15 million lease payment, Okeiqwe told the court that he also paid additional agency, legal and caution fees connected to the transaction.

He further alleged that Blessing CEO collected money from another individual for the same property.

The allegations form part of the prosecution’s case and have yet to be established by the court.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Blessing CEO on June 9, 2026, on a two count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing.

She pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The ongoing proceedings are expected to determine the facts surrounding the disputed property transaction and the allegations against the defendant.

Blessing CEO remains entitled to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction.
