AC Milan and Inter Milan are preparing for a new chapter in their history after unveiling plans for the Generali Stadium, their proposed new home expected to be ready for the 2031/32 season.
The two Serie A giants are planning to leave the historic San Siro as part of a major stadium development project aimed at modernising their facilities and boosting their commercial revenue.
Under the reported agreement, insurance company Generali has secured the stadium’s naming rights until 2052 in a deal valued at €650 million.
The proposed development will give both clubs a modern venue designed to improve the experience for supporters while providing additional commercial opportunities.
The project also includes plans to transform the surrounding area with new public spaces, green areas and leisure facilities.
According to the current proposal, San Siro will be demolished to make way for the wider redevelopment, marking the end of an era for the iconic stadium that has hosted generations of football fans.
The move represents a significant milestone for both Milan clubs as they look towards a new home and the next phase of their development.
If completed as planned, Generali Stadium will welcome supporters from the 2031/32 campaign, ushering in a new era for football in Milan.
