The Anambra State Coordinator of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Campaign Council, Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezi, has engaged 860 grassroots mobilisers across Idemili North and South Federal Constituency as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The engagement comprised 710 polling unit coordinators and over 150 bloc monitors, who were brought together at the residence of the NDC House of Representatives candidate for the constituency, Hon. Eric Anyamene.
The meeting also attracted party executives and members of the political structure across the 24 wards in the constituency.
Addressing the participants, Ibezi urged party members to maintain unity, discipline and commitment in taking the political message of Peter Obi and the NDC to communities across the constituency.
He also officially flagged off the Operation Meet with the Voters Initiative, a grassroots mobilisation programme designed to involve house to house visits across Idemili North and South.
According to the initiative, campaign operatives will engage residents directly, listen to their concerns and mobilise support for Peter Obi and other NDC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The initiative forms part of the party’s campaign activities aimed at expanding its grassroots engagement and strengthening its presence across the constituency.
