A 29 year old mother, identified as Ann Chioma, has reportedly died during childbirth in Imo State, following an unusual account surrounding her alleged appearance at her former workplace shortly before news of her death emerged.
According to an account circulating on social media, Chioma, who was said to have worked as a hairstylist around Jamanze, near Douglas Road in Owerri, reportedly visited her shop to collect some personal belongings.
The account further claimed that less than 10 minutes after she allegedly left the premises, her husband contacted people at the workplace to inform them that she had died during childbirth.
The development reportedly left her former colleagues and acquaintances confused, with some subsequently claiming that they had continued to see her around the shop after news of her death.
However, these claims, including suggestions of supernatural appearances, have not been independently verified.
Following the reports, some of her colleagues, friends and well-wishers allegedly gathered her remaining belongings, including chairs, clothes, wigs and hair extensions, and took them to her graveside.
They reportedly appealed to her to rest peacefully, while expressing sadness over her death and remembering their relationship with her.
