United States President, Donald Trump, has reportedly agreed to facilitate the immediate issuance of a US visa to Doris Adu Gyamfi, the mother of 15 year old Ghanaian boy, Javits Frimpong, who was shot and killed in the Bronx, New York.

The development was announced by New York City Mayor, Zohran Mamdani, who disclosed that the arrangement would enable the grieving mother, currently residing in Ghana, to travel to the United States to bid her son a final farewell.

The Ghanaian government has also pledged to cover her travel expenses, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent her from attending her son’s final rites.

Javits Frimpong’s tragic death has drawn attention to the painful circumstances surrounding the loss of a young life and the emotional burden placed on his family, particularly his mother, who is thousands of miles away.

The reported visa arrangement is expected to provide an opportunity for the bereaved mother to reunite with her son’s remains and participate in the final funeral arrangements.

The incident has also renewed calls for justice for the 15 year old, whose life was cut short by gun violence.

The tragedy has sparked heartfelt reactions and expressions of solidarity, with many calling for a thorough investigation and justice for the deceased teenager.
