The Special Adviser to Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, on Youth Reformation, Dr. Nelson Omenugha, has encouraged young workers to embrace hard work, discipline and continuous learning as essential ingredients for personal growth and future success.
Omenugha gave the charge during a visit to the Nise operations office of Naira Rice Mill, where he was received by the company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Omenwa Arinze Benjamin.
During the visit, the Special Adviser toured the production facility, familiarised himself with its operations and interacted with young men and women working across different departments.
He expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment and diligence demonstrated by the workers, many of whom are in their twenties and early thirties.
Omenugha urged them to see their present employment not merely as a means of earning a living but as an opportunity to acquire valuable skills, gain practical experience and prepare for greater responsibilities in the future.
According to him, today’s employees could become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs, employers, industry leaders and pillars of support to their families and communities.
He stressed the need to nurture a generation of young people who appreciate hard work, take responsibility, create opportunities and understand that lasting success requires patience, consistency and enterprise.
The Governor’s aide further noted that youth development must go beyond motivational speeches, emphasising the importance of practical exposure, mentorship, relatable role models and opportunities for young people to learn from experienced professionals.
He maintained that the state’s youth reformation initiative was focused on moving young people from aspiration to action, job-seeking to value creation, and dependence to enterprise.
Omenugha reaffirmed the commitment of the Soludo administration to promoting productive engagement and equipping young people with the mindset and practical skills needed to contribute meaningfully to Anambra State’s development.
