The Sir Henry Osegbowa Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to improving children’s welfare and promoting a healthier learning environment with a pledge to fund the construction of functional toilet facilities at Central School Umuasonye in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State.

The initiative is aimed at improving sanitation and providing pupils with a safer and more dignified school environment, particularly through access to proper toilet facilities.

According to the Foundation, access to adequate sanitation is a basic necessity for every child and an important part of creating a conducive environment for learning and development.

The commitment reflects the organisation’s broader humanitarian mission of supporting underserved communities and improving the lives of vulnerable people through meaningful interventions.

As part of efforts to ensure the successful delivery of the project, the Foundation is also calling for additional donations and support to cover the cost of essential building components, including windows, roofing materials and doors.

The Foundation stated that it would provide updates as the project progresses and share details of the completed facilities with the public.

It also emphasised the importance of ensuring that children have access to essential amenities that support their health, dignity and educational experience.

The planned intervention at Central School Umuasonye represents another step towards supporting community development and improving conditions for pupils in underserved areas.
