Olukayode Ajulo, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State, has appointed 273 lawyers as aides, comprising both seasoned professionals and junior colleagues.
Announcing the appointments in a statement on Saturday, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) clarified that these appointments encompass honorary and technical advisory roles.
Ajulo stressed the eagerness of the legal community to support the government and people of Ondo State, stating, “Upon assuming the position of Honourable Attorney General of Ondo State, a total of 273 lawyers…eagerly presented a multitude of ideas to lend their support to me.”
Dividing the appointees into two categories—Honorary Advisers and Technical Advisers—the Attorney-General expressed confidence in their ability to contribute to excellence and ethical legal services in Ondo State.
While the names of the appointees will be disclosed soon, Ajulo highlighted their diverse backgrounds, including law practice, government, academia, and social work, among others.
He underscored the invaluable guidance these lawyers will provide to reinforce the vision of the Office of the Attorney-General of Ondo State, aiming to become the premier public law office in Nigeria.
Ajulo further outlined his eight-point agenda, which includes key priorities such as access to justice, justice sector reform, law enforcement uniformity, and the protection of vulnerable groups like women, children, and persons with disabilities.
