Air Peace, Nigeria’s leading airline, has raised an alarm after discovering that fraudsters have replicated its official website, deceiving customers seeking to book UK flights.
This alert comes hot on the heels of the airline’s recent milestone achievement, which is the launching of direct flights from Nigeria to the United Kingdom.
Taking to its social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the airline disclosed that the fraudulent website, “www.flyairpeace.uk,” mimicked its identity, luring unsuspecting individuals into believing it was the authentic booking platform.
“Our official website remains ‘www.flyairpeace.com.’ The fraudulent site ‘www.flyairpeace.uk’ is not affiliated with us in any way. We urge the public to disregard it entirely, as it is a ploy to defraud passengers,” Air Peace clarified in a statement.
Recall that the airline commenced its daily flights to Gatwick, London, on March 30, 2024, marking a significant milestone in its operations.
