Florence Saraki, the mother of former Senate President Bukola Saraki, has passed away.
Bukola Saraki shared the news on Tuesday evening in a post on X, writing, “With profound sadness and total submission to the will of Almighty God, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and matriarch, Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, who peacefully transitioned today, Tuesday, June 18th, 2024.”
“Details regarding funeral arrangements will be shared in due course. We appreciate your love, prayers, and support as we mourn Mama’s passing,” he added.
Florence Saraki passed away just weeks before her 89th birthday. She last celebrated her 87th birthday on August 8, 2022, on Cameron Street in the Ikoyi area of Lagos.
