A rights group, Concerned Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Awareness Forum has told President Bola Tinubu that any attempt to reconsider the sacked Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Beta Edu for reinstatement or any other appointment, would destroy the long outstanding history of the fight against corruption in the country.
This was as the group warned the sacked Minister to stop blackmailing the Federal Government to get her reinstated into office.
Recall that Dr Edu was sacked by President Bola Tinubu barely 6 months in office, following high-profile cases of corruption running into billions of naira and other unwholesome acts including nepotism and lopsided appointments at the Ministry.
Chairman of the group, Mallam Auwal Dalori in a statement released to newsmen on Monday in Abuja in response to a purportedly sponsored newspaper publication seeking to elicit emotional sympathy from Nigerians, insisted there was nothing spectacular about Edu’s days in office as minister.
