Telecom giant Airtel Nigeria has generously pledged N2 million to Sodiq Olayode and his wife, Abiodun, who recently welcomed quadruplets.

This contribution comes on the heels of an overwhelming wave of support from Nigerians, who have collectively raised over N16 million through online donations.

Airtel Nigeria announced their donation on X.com, tweeting, “Hello, #jamysax, when life gives quadruplets, we give #ovajara support! We’re adding N2m because great things come in multiples.”

The Olayode family’s story captured widespread attention on social media after Olayode’s colleague, Oyeniran James, shared their struggles on X.com.

Tweeting under the handle #jamysax, James highlighted the family’s challenges, mentioning that the quadruplets used 105 diapers in just six days.

This revelation spurred outpouring of generosity, with Nigerians quickly donating millions of naira to Olayode’s bank account, which James had shared.

Providing an update, James revealed that as of 2pm on Thursday, donations had reached N16,265,209.

Beyond financial contributions, many Nigerians have also donated diapers, baby items, and food.

Interestingly, Olayode and his wife were initially expecting a single child but were surprised by the arrival of quadruplets—two boys and two girls.
