The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has addressed the recent social media backlash over a viral testimony, stating that the church does not manufacture testimonies.
Pastor Chidi Louis, Head of Public Relations and Media, responded to the controversy surrounding a church member’s testimony.
He clarified that a viral video, allegedly showing a member claiming to have disarmed four armed robbers and taken an “AK-27,” was misleading and altered.
“Nigerians should disregard the fake video and visit our church platform to listen to the complete testimony for better understanding. The woman’s story occurred in a dream, not in reality,” Louis explained.
He further cautioned, “Don’t believe everything you see on the internet. Bloggers often edit content to ridicule the work of God. Most of these bloggers are wicked and devilish.”
The church’s media department also labeled the viral clip as fake, urging the public to disregard it.
The full testimony was later shared on the church’s TikTok page, clarifying that the woman’s experience was a dream.
The controversy arose from the viral video in which a woman claimed she had overpowered four armed robbers and taken their pistol, mistakenly calling it an “AK-27.”
A pastor quickly corrected her, saying it was an “AK-47.”
