One of R. Kelly’s daughters has made shocking allegations in a new documentary, claiming that the singer, who is currently serving time in jail, did something inappropriate and heart-breaking to her during her childhood.
In a trailer for the documentary, circulating online, R. Kelly’s children share their painful experiences with their father and speak openly about the drama surrounding him today. His ex-wife, Drea Kelly, is also seen in the trailer, visibly emotional as she discusses what he allegedly did to their kids.
What he did to me, he did to me. Shouldn’t have to do it to my damn kids,” she tearfully said.
A voice in the trailer adds, “What he has done to those kids, there are no other words for them. He’s a monster.
Joanne Kelly, also known as Buku Abi, one of R. Kelly’s daughters, alludes to the heartbreaking thing her father did while she was a child. “He was my everything,” she said, sobbing.
For a long time, I didn’t even want to believe that he had been… I didn’t know that even if he was a bad person that he would do something to me,” she added. “I really feel like that one millisecond completely just changed my whole life.
Joanne also shared her thoughts on her own son’s future, stating, “If my son asks questions, I will be as truthful as possible. I will not be taking my son to prison to meet his grandfather.
The documentary, executive produced by Mann Robinson (@mannrobinson), is set to be released on October 11th.
