Nigeria held their final training session last night in preparation for today’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.

Earlier in the day, the Libyan national team held their press conference around 4:30 PM, during which their coach praised the quality of the Nigerian team.

All Nigerian players are professionals playing in the best leagues in the world.

Nigeria is a very big team, not reliant on just one player. Even though Osimhen is out, the whole team of Nigeria is a strong team not just a player.

Following the press conference, the Libyan team conducted their final training session.

The Super Eagles’ press conference, initially scheduled for 5pm was delayed for an hour after the Libyan team raised concerns about Nigerian journalists observing their training.

A CAF official intervened, leading to a delay with the press conference that later took place at 6pm.

During the press conference, Austin Eguavoen emphasized that the team is fully prepared and focused solely on securing three points in tomorrow’s game.

Meanwhile, Captain William Troost-Ekong expressed his support for the inclusion of NPFL players and indigenous coaches in the national team, underscoring the importance of recognizing homegrown talent.

After the press conference, the Super Eagles had their final training session, with all players taking part and looking fit.

Journalists were granted access for the first 20 minutes before the session was closed to the media.

Today’s match kicks off at 5pm with Nigeria aiming to secure all three points against Libya.
