Reality star Tochi has stirred conversation online after he took to social media to share his perspective with love and dating in Nigeria.

Expressing his frustration, he suggested that the pressures of “hustling” in Nigeria have made genuine relationships difficult to find, hinting that some individuals may even use relationships as a means to further personal gain.

In his post, Tochi shared, “I have always said this. Nigeria isn’t designed for love because everybody is hustling. You fit dey spend all your money on love on top one wirey wey dey use you build house for her family. Once the house complete, she starts dating another person that will furnish the house.

While Tochi didn’t identify any specific individual responsible for his disappointment, his comments hinted at a deeply felt betrayal.

His post quickly drew a range of responses from fans and followers, with some sympathizing and others critical of his take on love and relationships.

User i_am_iessi commented bluntly, “Shut up, na you no make am for the celebrity industry… Nai make,” hinting that his fame might be a factor in his romantic challenges.

Another user, lucy_ng2, called out his implication that only women are involved in love scams, stating, “‘Use you build house for her family,’ as if it’s only women that are into love scam hehehehe…

On a more positive note, thisisama_ suggested that Tochi should stay hopeful, saying, “Until you meet someone with good intentions and pure love with a touch of better parenting.”

Similarly, ogsautiii added with a dose of humour, “If love never put one person for trouble, the rest no go learn.
