Monday Okpebholo has officially been sworn in as the governor of Edo State, succeeding Godwin Obaseki after his six-year leadership of the South-South state.
The inauguration ceremony, held on Tuesday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, celebrated Okpebholo’s victory following the All Progressives Congress (APC) win two months ago, securing their place at the Dennis Osadebay House.
Taking the oath alongside Okpebholo was his deputy, Dennis Idahosa, marking the beginning of their administration’s term.
