Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has predicted a strong push by Nigerians to oust President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, citing widespread economic hardship.
George made this assertion on Thursday while addressing the nation during his 79th birthday celebration in Lagos.
He emphasized the need for unity within the PDP, urging members to shed personal interests and divisive tendencies to present a formidable front against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“The crisis in our party stems from self-interest by some members, which is driving us toward destruction,” George remarked, adding that victory in 2027 hinges on internal cohesion.
“If we want to win the 2027 presidential election, we should not allow ourselves to be divided, and those with divisive tendencies should be told in clear language that ‘Enough is Enough’.
“With the suffering in the land and the mismanagement of the economy, Nigerians are waiting for us in 2027 to kick APC out of Aso Rock,” he said.
George’s comments highlight growing discontent among citizens as the nation grapples with economic challenges under the current administration.
