Nigerian comedian Seyi Law recently mocked Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu after fellow comedian Mr Macaroni vowed to continue snubbing the governor. Mr Macaroni, known for his satirical skits addressing social and political issues, has been a vocal critic of the government, particularly during the #EndSARS movement.
The incident began when an X user accused Mr Macaroni of snubbing Governor Sanwo-Olu. In response, Mr Macaroni affirmed his stance, stating he would continue to do so. Seyi Law then joined the conversation, mocking the governor in light of Mr Macaroni’s declaration.
Reacting, Seyilaw stated that Mr Macaroni is not to blame, emphasising that Sanwo-Olu pretends not to recognize him whenever they meet, yet he requests handshake from Mr Macaroni.
On his X handle, he wrote, “Nobody should blame Macaroni for the way he speaks to Gov. @jidesanwoolu. Gov. BOS will see me and act like he doesn’t know me, but he will be begging Macaroni for a handshake. Everybody get out.
This exchange has sparked mixed reactions among the public, with some supporting Mr Macaroni’s decision and others criticizing it.
