Former Abia State Governor and Senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, has declared that President Bola Tinubu’s reelection in 2027 is a certainty.
Speaking with journalists at the National Assembly on Tuesday, Kalu dismissed any doubts about Tinubu’s chances, asserting that victory was assured.
“Yes, Asiwaju will win in 2027,” he stated confidently.
A staunch supporter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Kalu urged Nigerians to be patient with the administration’s reforms, assuring that they would yield positive results over time.
“Many Nigerian presidents who have not performed well have still won a second term.
“We are appealing to the Nigerian people to be patient with the reform process. We are not looking for another presidential candidate outside of our party; we are fully aligned with democratic principles and supporting the sitting president,” he added.
Kalu, who appeared in a burgundy-colored outfit instead of his signature all-white attire, explaining that the choice symbolized continuity.
“This is continuity; it means Asiwaju, continue!” He declared.
Reiterating his full support for Tinubu, Kalu emphasized that the APC had no plans to field another candidate in 2027.
“The good news is that we will win again in 2027. The president will return, and Nigerians will celebrate with us. That is inevitable.” he said.
