Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, has ignited controversy once again following a disturbing warning to critics, declaring that anyone who dares to speak against him in Auchi, Edo State, risks being killed.

In a video now making the rounds on X (formerly Twitter), the cleric boasted about the unwavering loyalty of his followers and warned critics to stay away from his church premises if they valued their lives.

“If you want to die and you’ve been praying for death, but it hasn’t come, there’s a way to make it happen,” Suleman said.

“Come to Auchi, stand by the front gate of our church, and say something against me. Somebody will kill you, another will bury you, and the third will be doing praise and worship on your dead body.”

The statement, which was delivered during a church service, has triggered mixed reactions online, with many questioning the pastor’s choice of words and the implications of such rhetoric in a place of worship.

Suleman further narrated how some suspected cultists took it upon themselves to punish those who insulted him, claiming their actions were motivated by his past acts of kindness.

“I’ve had cult boys bring people to me and say, ‘This boy was insulting you, we beat him and told him to apologize.’ I asked them, ‘Who are you?’ They said, ‘You no go like who we be, but you don help us.’ Kindness.”

The preacher was keen to stress that the loyalty he commands isn’t based on his spiritual gifts or miraculous powers, but rather on his compassion.

“I’ve had cult boys bring people to me…” he repeated, seemingly to drive home the depth of the loyalty he believes he has earned.
