Tiwa Savage , Nigerian Afrobeats singer, has denied claims that she mocked fellow music star, Wizkid, following the release of her new album, This One is Personal.
The rumours started after social media users began suggesting that the singer may have thrown subtle jabs at Wizkid through some of her recent activities online. This speculation quickly spread across different platforms, with many fans assuming there was tension between the two artistes.
However, when the claims were further examined, no evidence was found to support them. Grok, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) bot, was reported to have carried out a check and confirmed that the allegations of trolling had no factual basis
Reacting to the matter, via a post on social media, Tiwa Savage expressed her surprise at how fast the story had circulated, even without proof. In her words, “Thank you o, have never done that. But they have just ran with this narrative and I have just kept quiet.”
The singer further explained that she has never insulted or trolled Wizkid, stressing that the public often misinterprets her actions or statements. She noted that false narratives are sometimes created around her name, which she prefers not to respond to immediately.
She described Wizkid as her close friend and business partner, stating, “Wizkid is my best friend, we have a business relationship, we do shows together both indoors and outdoors.”
