A Toronto elementary school teacher has been suspended after reportedly making a class of 10-year-olds repeatedly watch the video of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, telling students he “deserved” it.

Education officials in Toronto confirmed the suspension of a teacher following allegations of deeply inappropriate conduct in the classroom. According to multiple reports, the teacher showed a group of Grade 5 students the disturbing footage of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk’s assassination, insisting the act was justified and forcing them to rewatch it several times.

Parents expressed outrage after learning of the incident, with some calling it “psychological abuse” and demanding stronger accountability measures within the school system. Mental health supports are reportedly being offered to the children affected.

The Toronto District School Board stated that the teacher has been placed on immediate leave pending a full investigation. Officials emphasized that exposing children to such content, particularly in a way described as coercive, violates both professional and ethical standards expected of educators.

The case has sparked wider debate over ideological bias in classrooms and the safeguarding of students from harmful content. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether additional disciplinary action or legal proceedings will follow.
