Qatar’s Al Sadd SC have officially announced the appointment of Italian manager Roberto Mancini as the club’s new head coach, effective immediately, as the team looks to strengthen its domestic and continental ambitions.

The Qatari Stars League giants confirmed Mancini’s arrival in a statement released on Thursday, marking a significant development for the club following the departure of their previous coach earlier in the season. Mancini, who most recently managed the Saudi Arabian national team, brings extensive experience from top-level football, including major tenures with Manchester City, Inter Milan, and the Italian national side.

Al Sadd management stated that Mancini’s appointment reflects the club’s vision of combining experienced leadership with a long-term plan to maintain dominance in Qatari football and compete strongly in the AFC Champions League. The club expressed confidence that his tactical expertise and leadership qualities will elevate team performance both domestically and internationally.

Mancini is expected to assume duties immediately and will oversee training sessions ahead of Al Sadd’s upcoming league match. The terms of his contract have not been publicly disclosed.
