A 57th-minute Samson Obi’s strike saw us come from behind to beat Warri Wolves, having gone into the interval with scores at 1-1, as we claimed a big early-season three points.

Having found ourselves behind thanks to Orji Chisom’s 25th-minute opener, Emmanuel Nnaji finished off a beautiful team move by grabbing us an equaliser 4 minutes later to seemingly ensure we left with something to show for our efforts. Before then, we had seen a free kick from Ubong Friday go just off target after Samson Obi was brought down.

However, 12 minutes after the restart of the second half, Samson Obi reacted fastest to slot in Emmanuel Nnaji’s free kick after an initial slip from the goalkeeper to ensure we closed the gap to Ikorodu City FC at the top of the table to one point.

Facts and Stats
– This was the first time this season that we have trailed in a Nigeria Premier Football League game and gone on to win.

– Orji Chisom’s goal for Warri Wolves is only the fourth goal we have conceded so far after 12 matches this season.

– Emmanuel Nnaji and Samson Obi are the 7th and 8th goal scorers for us this season.
