Barcelona midfielder Fermín López has suffered a minor injury to the soleus muscle in his right leg and is expected to be out of action for around two weeks.
Medical tests carried out by the club confirmed the problem in the calf-area muscle, with the technical staff opting for a brief rest period to avoid aggravating the issue during a congested fixture schedule.
López, who has become an important option in attacking midfield this season, will miss several upcoming matches but is forecast to return before the end of the year if his recovery progresses as planned.
