The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) has announced the restoration of 450 megawatts (MW) of electricity to the national grid following the successful completion of scheduled maintenance on the Geregu National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) plant in Kogi State.

In a statement issued, the company’s spokesperson, Emmanuel Ojor, confirmed that the four-week extended minor inspection of the facility was executed by Siemens Energy. The maintenance exercise, he said, focused on improving the plant’s reliability, performance, and overall efficiency.

According to NDPHC, the comprehensive inspection has not only enhanced operational stability but also prolonged the plant’s equivalent operating hours (EOH) and extended its life span.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to delivering sustainable power solutions and supporting Nigeria’s efforts to strengthen electricity generation and supply across the country.
