Nollywood star, Mercy Johnson, has threatened legal action against any online trolls and platforms reporting fake news about her and her family.
The actress made the threat on Monday while reacting to the release of a Tiktok content creator and blogger, Eedie Bliss who alleged that Mercy Johnson’s husband bought a mansion for a mistress who got pregnant for him.
#Muktv recalls that Eedie Bliss was released from detention on Saturday January 17 2026, following public outcry.
Speaking for the first time over the issue, Mercy Johnson in a video shared on her Instagram page on Monday, stated that “We have decided to withdraw the charges against the lady in question because of the love and respect we have for numerous individuals that reached out.”
While revealing her plans for the New Year 2026, Mercy vowed that “it’s no longer going to be business as usual for online trolls and platforms sharing false rumours against me and my family.”
She said “Hi guys, good morning from the other side. First and foremost let me just say thank you all for supporting my craft. I do not take your love for granted. But I felt the need to say that it’s no longer going to be business as usual. I have plans later this year for things I have to do online, and having plans to make trouble and court cases is going to be part of them because some people just won’t leave me and my family alone.
