Carlos Alcaraz Becomes Youngest Man in History to Win All Four Grand Slams

Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz has sealed his place in tennis history as the youngest man ever to win all four Grand Slam tournaments, completing a career Grand Slam with his maiden Australian Open title in Melbourne.

The 22-year-old World No. 1 defeated 10-time Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic in the 2026 final, coming from a set down to win in four sets and lift his first Australian Open trophy. Having already claimed multiple titles at Roland-Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open, the victory completed his set of all four majors and elevated him into one of tennis’s most exclusive clubs.

Alcaraz’s triumph makes him the youngest male player in history to achieve a career Grand Slam, breaking an 87-year-old mark previously held by American great Don Budge and surpassing the Open Era record of fellow Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who completed his set at 24. The win also gives Alcaraz his seventh Grand Slam singles title, making him the youngest man in the Open Era to reach that milestone and further consolidating his grip on the No. 1 ranking.

On social media and across the tennis world, tributes poured in as fans and analysts hailed the achievement as a generational turning point, with many noting that Alcaraz grew up watching Djokovic dominate the very tournament he has now conquered. Commentators say the Australian Open victory not only completes Alcaraz’s trophy collection but also confirms him as the standard-bearer of men’s tennis in the post–“Big Three” era.
