Former Edo State Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has dismissed as false a viral video allegedly showing him giving a foot massage to a woman inside a private jet.
The short clip, which surfaced earlier this week, spread rapidly across social media platforms including X, Instagram, and TikTok, drawing widespread attention and heated reactions from Nigerians.
Many critics condemned what they perceived as a show of luxury by the political class, particularly against the backdrop of Nigeria’s economic hardship and recent comments attributed to the senator on rising food prices.
As the controversy grew, online reports identified the woman in the video as a South African lifestyle influencer and adult content creator, further intensifying debates around privilege, accountability, and the private conduct of public office holders.
In response, Senator Oshiomhole’s media team vehemently rejected the authenticity of the footage, describing it as a “poorly crafted and edited fake AI video” allegedly produced by individuals bent on blackmailing the former labour leader and damaging his reputation.
The media office further pointed to what it described as clear technical flaws in the clip, especially around the six-second mark of the roughly 30-second video, citing these irregularities as evidence of digital manipulation and artificial intelligence interference.
